Congrats to Cole Callen, a PhD Candidate in the Department of Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese, on receiving the Raymond E. Lombra and Roberta Lombra Outstanding Graduate Research Award, which recognizes high quality contributions to the humanities and the social sciences by enrolled graduate students working toward their advanced degrees. Two awards are made each year--one in the humanities and one in the social sciences--for the best article or book published or forthcoming by a graduate student registered in the College.
Cole receives this award for his outstanding 2021 article in Language Learning & Development: “Linguistic variation in the acquisition of morphosyntax: Variable object marking in the speech of Mexican children and their caregivers”. He will be recognized at an awards ceremony April 18th in the Penn Stater.
