Biography:

My name is Emily Herman. I am a Ph.D. student in the Hispanic Linguistics program. My primary research interests are child language acquisition of both morphosyntactic and phonological variation. I have also done research on perceptual adaptation in adult bilinguals with Matt Carlson, Ph.D., and have done sociolinguistic analysis in AI-human interactions as part of my participation in the Linguistic Diversity Across the Lifespan (LinDiv) grant.
